Audubon Court Docket Search
For a first Audubon court docket search, open Minnesota Court Records Online, known as MCRO. Pick Becker County where the tool allows it. Then search with a full case number. A citation number works too. So does a party or business name, or attorney details. A complete identifier works far better than a partial one. One caution from official guidance: some pending criminal, traffic, and petty-misdemeanor cases without a conviction may not appear through a defendant-name search. The same case can still return when searched by number.
- Open MCRO and accept the current public-access terms.
- Set the county to Becker for an Audubon court docket search.
- Enter the case number or citation number, or narrow a name search.
- Open Case Details and the Register of Actions to read public events.
- Use the county hearing calendar for a listed setting and Court Administration for confirmation.
MCRO is a search tool for public court records. It does not take an Audubon payment, file documents, set hearings, certify results, or serve as an official background record.
Audubon Court Records Route
Audubon court cases run through Becker County District Court. Its Court Administration office sits at 913 Lake Ave, Detroit Lakes, MN 56501. Call 218-846-5040. Public hours run Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The office maintains court files, schedules matters, and processes filings. It also handles record requests for the county trial court.
The shared county address matters. Audubon has no separate court counter, city court calendar, or municipal court portal. Give the case number when you can. Without one, offer a party or business name. Add the case category, an approximate date, and the specific record or hearing you want. That lets Court Administration pull the right state court material instead of sending you to a city office.

Audubon City Contact Court Boundary
Audubon counted 560 residents as an incorporated place in 2020. For current local contact details, the Becker County EDA resources page lists the city clerk/treasurer. The listing shows 357 4th St, Audubon, MN 56511, telephone 218-439-6582. Audubon itself posts no current official city website or contact page. Treat the county listing as civic context, not evidence of a separate court system.
Keep the roles separate. The city clerk/treasurer does not hold state court records. Residents should call the city listing for municipal-government matters. Court issues go to Court Administration instead. That covers a docket question, a hearing, a certified copy, or a court-file request. The distinction keeps court business from landing at the wrong office. Becker County's city and district information supplies the context behind this Audubon material.
The listing offers civic context only and shows no Audubon court portal or court record holder.
Audubon Court Calendar Search
The Becker daily public hearing calendar is the right calendar route for an Audubon case. This countywide PDF of scheduled hearings posts at 7:00 a.m. each business day. Updates follow hourly. It is not the full Audubon court docket. It is not a record of every filing or a complete list of restricted proceedings.
| Audubon date | The listed court setting, which may change. |
|---|---|
| Time | The time currently shown in the public PDF. |
| Officer | The judicial officer listed for the event when provided. |
| Location | The courtroom or remote connection information in the calendar. |
| Type | Examples include arraignment, motion, plea, sentencing, and trial. |
Search the PDF by exact case number or name in a PDF viewer, and note the date you viewed it. Restricted cases may stay off the posting. A missing Audubon entry does not mean the case was dismissed, moved, cancelled, or never filed. Confirm any appearance directly with Court Administration.
Audubon Traffic Court Records
Eligible Audubon traffic citations can be searched in Minnesota Court Web Payment by citation or case number. The service is statewide, not a city court portal. A citation may need time to appear there. Read the current official notice first. Paying through it can have a guilty-plea or waiver effect.
Questions about contesting a ticket, a required appearance, a hearing date, or scheduling belong with Becker Court Administration. The city clerk/treasurer takes no court payments. A calendar entry and a payment-screen result do different jobs, so neither shows a final case outcome.

Audubon MCRO Court Records
Each MCRO tool answers a different Audubon court question. Case Search finds eligible public cases by name, number, citation, or attorney information. Document Search needs a full case number. Type it without spaces. Hearing Search accepts date, case number, location, judicial officer, category, or participant fields. Judgment Search works with debtor name, docketed date, status, and location. Match the tool to your question instead of hoping one search screen gives every answer.
| Audubon question | Official tool | Limit |
|---|---|---|
| Was a public state case found? | MCRO Case Search | Remote access and name-search limits apply. |
| When is a listed hearing? | Becker daily calendar | It changes and can omit restricted matters. |
| Can an eligible ticket be paid? | Web Payment | It does not decide a contest or court date. |
Once an Audubon record turns up, open the Register of Actions for the chronological event history. Read it for the disposition. A case category, charge, warrant, calendar date, or search-result snippet is never a conclusion by itself.
Audubon Court Docket Dates
An Audubon court docket may list a first appearance, initial appearance, arraignment, omnibus hearing, pretrial, plea hearing, sentencing, jury trial, probation-violation hearing, motion hearing, settlement conference, conciliation hearing, or probate hearing. These are labels only. They tell you what is set, not what happened or what will follow the hearing.
- Register of Actions
- The chronological public event list for a case.
- Setting
- A scheduled court event.
- Disposition
- The recorded resolution of the case or a portion of it.
- Continuance
- A later or delayed setting.
Audubon court docket dates can shift at any time. Before you plan around a case number or hearing date, check the current PDF and the MCRO record, then call the court to confirm what the clerk has on file.
Audubon Court Terminal Records
When MCRO does not show an Audubon court document remotely, try the public terminal at the courthouse instead. Each district courthouse has one. Minnesota Judicial Branch guidance calls these MNPAC terminals the most complete electronic access for visitors. You can also call Court Administration. So why would a document be missing online? It may predate remote coverage. It may sit in a sealed or restricted file, or be held as paper off-site.
For context, MCRO offers broad remote access to many public documents filed on or after July 1, 2015. Certain case types and protected material stay out. Files older than that should never be assumed to exist as a downloadable PDF. Work in order: search MCRO first. Then try the MNPAC terminal or counter. Ask last about a locally held or off-site paper record.
Note: A city listing or city contact does not change the access rule for an Audubon state court record.
Audubon Certified Court Records
Remember that MCRO is only an unofficial public display. If you need a certified or exemplified copy of an Audubon court record, the request goes to Court Administration. That office holds the original file. The Becker fee table sets the charges. A certified copy costs $14. An exemplified uncertified copy also costs $14, and an exemplified certified copy runs $28. Confirm the current fee, payment method, and instructions before you mail funds or plan a pickup.
Whatever copy type you want, have the case number ready. Bring the document or event date and the copy type too. Court Administration can tell you whether a file is public, nonremote, sealed, off-site, or subject to another process. Do not ask a city clerk/treasurer for certification. And do not treat an MCRO screen result as one.
Audubon Court Case Path
Audubon has no municipal trial court of its own. State court matters move from an Audubon event or citation straight to Becker County District Court. Its Court Administration handles the paperwork. The district court handles the county's civil, family, probate, juvenile, criminal, and traffic cases. When an appeal is properly available, it goes to the Minnesota Court of Appeals.
Case path: Audubon event or citation › Becker County District Court and Court Administration › Minnesota Court of Appeals.
That structure keeps city duties and court duties apart. It also means a federal case will never appear in an Audubon state docket. Federal district and bankruptcy matters run through separate federal systems.
Audubon Court Access Rules
Every Audubon court record falls under one rule set. The Minnesota Rules of Public Access to Records of the Judicial Branch govern it. Public information and unrestricted remote distribution are two different things under the rule. Remote screens may redact or omit protected details. That can include street addresses, phone numbers, account numbers, full dates of birth, Social Security numbers, and other sensitive data. Sealed, confidential, juvenile, protective-order, and commitment files face still tighter limits.
Audubon record-access rules:
Rule 8 governs court case access, calendars, and Registers of Actions.
Minnesota Statutes section 13.90 provides the judicial-records access framework.
Minnesota Statutes section 609A.01 addresses expungement and disclosure limits.
An Audubon court docket is not an official background check. Never use a case search to expose protected personal data or to accuse a private party.
Audubon Court Record Requests
Direct your request for an Audubon public court record to Becker Court Administration. An oral or written request works as long as it reasonably identifies the record. Complicated or large requests may have to be in writing. Give the full case number if you know it. Add the case category and the approximate filing date. Include the document or event date, and whether you want inspection, a plain copy, a certified copy, or an exemplified copy.
Your purpose is not required for an ordinary public request. Still, the court may explain a delay or denial under the rules. You can ask for the rule or legal basis behind any refusal. It is fair to ask about a redacted copy. Terminal inspection or another access route may exist too. Older, archived, or high-volume Audubon records take time.
Audubon eFile Court Records
Audubon parties with a filing obligation can use Minnesota's eFile and eServe system. It applies when the case and filer qualify. Know what it is, though. The system handles party filings and service, not city office business. It cannot fetch a copy for a nonparty. Keep three routes straight: e-filing for parties, MCRO for searching, and Court Administration for copies. That habit keeps a public-record request from landing in the wrong place.
Audubon Court Route Summary
County and statewide resources handle all Audubon court access. MCRO carries the records. The Becker calendar lists the hearings. Court Administration provides the copies. Audubon city contact details are municipal context only, not a judicial-records system.
